Tonight between 7 and 8 in the McCoy Meetin’ House, the Park debate team will hold a practice debate. The topic will be if the federal government should ought not repeal the DACA program. Admission is open. The topic was discussed in a previous article about the team which can be read here. https://www.stylusonline.org/opinion/2018/04/07/the-value-of-debate/

“Debate teaches you about both sides of an argument,” says adjunct professor Chris Thomas. “It teaches you to clearly, accurately, and concisely frame an argument. It teaches research skills.”

If you can’t make the debate but want to weigh in on the discussion, suggest future debate topics, or are interested in joining the team yourself, contact the team at [email protected]
