Parkfest wraps up homecoming week celebrations

On Saturday, Oct. 2, the Park University Student Activities Board held a grand finale homecoming event at the Park Avenue in the underground. The event which started at 6 p.m. It was initially scheduled to be held outside – running from Milsap Foyer down to the chapel lawn – but was moved inside due to weather conditions. The event was carnival-themed featuring four different food trucks, carnival games, a 360-degree photo booth, gift raffles and more. This event also introduced PSAB’s new collection of merchandise. This is something the organization does every academic year. New PSAB logos are designed by the organization’s VP of marketing to be put on all merchandise. This year’s merchandise includes shirts, mugs, amongst others. Students who show up to PSAB events get these items for free.

Parkfest, also known as Harvest fest, is an annual Homecoming celebration which has been a tradition at Park University for more than 60 years.

PSAB execs, President Bayan Salam, Vice-President of External Events Manika Karki and Vice-President of Online Engagement Marina Lima, announce the raffle winners. Prizes included a smart TV, an Apple watch, Apple AirPods, Samsung watch and Powerbeats pro.
