There is a new exhibit at Park University. On Jan. 7, 2026 the “Reduce / Reuse / Redesign” exhibit opened in the Campanella Gallery located inside the Norrington Center. The interior design students demonstrate creativity, craftsmanship and thoughtful reuse of materials throughout the exhibit.
Andrea Lee, Ph.D., director of the Campanella Gallery and associate professor of art explained that the interior design students had three options with the following criteria: constructing a furniture piece primarily from found or discarded objects, taking an existing object with a completely different purpose and transforming it into a piece of furniture, or selecting an existing furniture piece and refurbish, redesign or reimagine it into something new. The result was required to show a significant transformation in form, function or material use. In addition, students were only allowed a minimal purchase from a hardware store.

This exhibit will be on display through Feb. 13, 2026. Admission is free and open to everyone.
